Founder Jason Hairston created KUIU to cater to mountaineering hunters. He grew up hunting, and that passion drove him throughout his life. After a career in the NFL, he launched a traditional retail clothing line: Sitka. From there, he branched out into the world of direct-to-consumer merchandise.
